Thanksgiving is just a couple of weeks away, and we are thrilled to share with you our 2nd Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive Campaign.
Once again, we are serving the families of Pine Hills in partnership with Pinewood Elementary. The teachers of Pinewood Elementary have hand selected families of great need to receive this special gift for Thanksgiving.
We are asking for a $50 DONATION towards the purchase and direct delivery of a complete Thanksgiving meal.
Our goal this year is to double our reach from 2020 and feed 100 families.
$50 will pay for (1) complete meal from Publix that will feed a family of 7-10 people.
We are happy to report that, with your help, we successfully distributed coats to 70 local children!
We would like to say a special thank you to the principal and teachers of Pinewood Elementary for matching these coats to these wonderful children and creating a special Christmas moment for them and their families.
As you can see, the Orlando City Youth Outreach Police Officers joined in the fun and offered to assist us in distributing some leftover essentials from the Socks and Undies Drive too.

We are thrilled to share that the Pinewood Elementary community event, “Spring Break Party”, was a hit! Over 60 families attended with their 1st and 2nd graders to enjoy pizza, drinks and sweet treats. They played with the toys we were able to collect from our campaign this past week, like hula hoops, jump ropes and footballs. Each family also left with a 30 lb box of fresh groceries from @southeasternfoodbank.
We are so thankful to our Above and Beyond for Change volunteers, to @NishaPhillips and the many Pinewood Elementary teachers who helped ensure the event went smoothly.

The mission of Above & Beyond for Change is to dismantle the separation between communities, produced by societal boundaries, in order to create a direct pathway for advantaged communities to serve neighboring communities in need.
As President and owner of 𝘜𝘚 𝘈𝘭𝘶𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘶𝘮 𝘚𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘴, I want to thank you for doing business with my company and for supporting our success by awarding us with your backyard renovation project. Although we have been blessed with another year of growth and progress, this year, the road to get here was our most challenging yet. Along with so many other businesses, we faced incredible hardships due to the Covid crisis, but through hard work, determination and a few miracles, we were graced with the opportunity to keep working towards our goals.
This experience has left me with an incredible sense of gratitude. So many businesses and families continue to suffer, as they try to manage the damaging impact of Covid on their communities and their livelihoods.
All of this, coupled with the heartbreaking social injustices that have been on display in our country, I found myself at a crossroads. I could move forward, business as usual, or I could do something that I never had before.
After much reflection and prayer, it was clear I wanted to answer the call to step up, be a part of positive change, and work for improvement and progress in my community. As a grateful and privileged community member, I knew it was time to ensure that myself and my companies were making a positive impact on our society.
So today, I write to you to announce, I have formed a non-profit organization called 𝘈𝘣𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘉𝘦𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦. This organization has been created to share love, light and power with the lives of the people in my wonderful community of Orlando, Florida.
In this initial phase of development, we are focused on establishing partnerships with people and organizations who share our same goals of altruism. We are diligently creating a network of loving people who are ready to answer the calls of service to others. We are educating ourselves on the needs of our community and learning what gaps in our current systems we can fill or eliminate. We are designing programs and projects, big and small, for launch this year and for future years to come.
